Simrin Mehra Agarwal lives and works in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts in 2002 and with a master’s degree in Fine Arts in 2004 from the University of Delhi, New Delhi, India with a specialisation in Painting. Thereafter, she studied Sculpture at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London, UK. Simrin is the recipient of the Manarat Al Saadiyat Art Studio Residency (2021), Abu Dhabi, UAE; Cultural Foundation Art Residency (2020), Abu Dhabi, UAE; French Government Scholarship and Residency (2007-8), Paris, France; National Winner Nokia Arts Award Asia Pacific (2000), Seoul, South Korea; Sailoz Award for Excellence (2002), College of Art, New Delhi, India; and was awarded the Gold Medalist for Fine Arts 2003 from Delhi University, India.
