Aisha Al Ahmadi, born in 1997, and raised in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is an artist, writer, and aspiring curator. Her work is research-based and centered around themes of identity politics, truth, post-colonialism, and external influences on our perception of ourselves and the world. The artist uses her work as a vehicle to understand the world and uses drawing, printmaking, painting, and sculpture to express her processes. Al Ahmadi received her B.F.A. in Visual Arts with a minor in Curatorial Practices from Zayed University, Abu Dhabi, UAE in May 2020, and is currently pursuing her M.A. in History of Art and Museum Studies from Sorbonne University, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Al Ahmadi is an artist with a writing practice who has moved from a tactile, emotive aesthetic to an architectural, authoritative and conceptual voice. Her practice remains deeply intertwined with language and literature. Language’s constructedness is emphasized.

Aisha Al Ahmadi is a recipient of the Cultural Foundation Art Residency 2021.
