This year, Battle of the Arts’ Visual and Performing Arts Challenge is inspired by the UAE’s 50th Jubilee Anniversary. Your challenge is to produce an artwork or a performance inspired by the unique nature and culture of the UAE. Your artwork can convey stories from history or reflect your dreams for the future in response to the following themes: Cultural Landscapes, Historic Sites and Heritage Practices, and Modernity and the Future.

The themes illustrate potential starting points but are in no way a limitation – feel free to add content and your own unique cultural spin to your submission. Imagination has no boundaries!

The competition is open to youth aged 5 – 18 years old and will close on 15 September 2021. Winners will be announced on 20 September 2021.

A total of 9 winners, 3 winners for each age category, will be selected by a Jury Panel.
