Qasr Al Muwaiji is organising a major recreational and educational family event celebrating the heritage of falconry. This traditional sport and living cultural practice is inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The 'Falconry' is a popular inherited sport in the UAE and one of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s favourite sports.

In addition, one of the rooms in Qasr Al Muwaiji's tower is dedicated to discuss this sport. The 'Falconry Hunting Trip' will closely introduce this sport and its practices to the audience in a family atmosphere full of joy, entertainment and culture.

The event will feature educational interactive workshops and training sessions, teaching the basics of falconry and its cultural and historic significance in the UAE and the Gulf region, as well as entertainment and cultural activities.
