Galleries, exhibitions, talks, workshops, performances and installations – Abu Dhabi Art is a flagship cultural event held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Art expands the notion of what an art fair can be through a diverse public engagement programme of art installations and exhibitions, talks and events, held across different locations throughout the year.

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Office, this programme culminates in November with the Abu Dhabi Art event. The platform provides the participating art galleries the opportunity to showcase ambitious installations and site-specific works to more than 20,000 visitors.

The Abu Dhabi Art programme is a cornerstone of the wider Abu Dhabi contemporary art platform. The programme features a dynamic series of performances, panels, workshops, exhibitions and artist installations.

Beyond: Emerging Artists

Beyond: Emerging Artists is an annual initiative that launched in 2017. The programme provides three emerging artists in the United Arab Emirates with a platform from which to develop their practice and realise ambitious art projects. The artists are selected by a guest curator each year. They undertake a year-long programme of workshops and studio visits, initiated by the curator, that culminates in the Abu Dhabi Art fair in November. The works remain on public exhibition for months after the fair ends.
