Overview

 This performance presents one of the UAE’s leading singers, Saeed Al Salem, who has managed to blend the traditional Emirati sound with Khaleeji rhythms and his very own philosophy and musical convictions. His rare, but powerful appearances are not to be missed as his unique voice brings to life the emotions linked to the country’s musical heritage.

Saeed Al Salem 
Saeed Al Salem is one of the most talented Emirati singers in the country. He was born to be an artist, discovering a passion for music at an early age. He started playing Oud when he was 14. Two other albums followed his successful inaugural album, Haddi A’sabak, in 1998. In addition to the ‘Naseem Asharq’ and ‘Ziza’a Al Habayeb’ poems by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Al Salim produced others by known writers, including Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hazza bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ali Al Khawar, Sultan Al Mujali, Saqr Al Kaabi, Ahmad Al Ghindi, Saif Al Shamsi, Ahmad Al Mirri, Anwar Al Meshairi, Hasan Al Obaidali and Aref Al Khajah.

He also produced the writings from poets such as Hams Al Mashaer, Mashaer Dubai, and Matle Al Shams. He has also worked with renowned composers such as Tareq Al Muqbil, Fayez Al Saeed, Musa Mohammed, Mohammed Al Oraifi, Muhammad Al Balushi, and Adil Bu Rshaid. 
Saeed is widely known for his songs that were produced for national events, such as Ajmal Watan, Amar Ya Dar AlNahyan, and Farhat Al Dar. 

He has been very active in supporting sports clubs, and public and official Emirati events inside and outside the UAE. He has participated in many events; UAE National Day celebrations, the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubark Award for Charity in 1998, Shindagha Heritage Village, the Present and  Past Songs Festival in Dubai in 1999, Hilli Carnival (Ya Halla Bil Eid) in Al Ain city in 1999 and 2003, Music Show at Dubai World Trade Centre in 1999, Emirati Cultural Week Festival in Lebanon at UNESCO Palace in 2000, Gulf Ramadan Nights Carnival at Cairo’s Opera House in 1999, Dubai nights, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum Youla Competition, UAE Red Crescent’s Ramadan & Eid Carnival, Ramadan the Month of Giving in 2002, Loyalty & Love Parade  in 2001, Emirates FM Jalasat radio show, Songs from the East Carnival at Emirates Palace Hotel, Abu Dhabi in 2008, Ramadan Programme in 2013, and the Ibn Battuta Music Show in 2015.

Over the years of his artistic career, Saeed Al Salem has performed many operettas in public events. These included at the Rashid Centre for Disabled Children Operetta in 1997, Taj Al Ummam Operetta, Gulf Football Club Championship Opening Operetta at Al Ain Sports and Culture Club in 2001, Operetta of Shaikha Latifa bint Mohammed for Creative Children Awards, Ramadan and Eid Operetta in 2002, Emirates Towers Opening Ceremony Operetta, Ehna Al Salam Operetta, and many other operettas for different national events.
