Bait Al Oud Concert With Dr. Saber Abdel Sattar and Bait Al Oud Musicians

Saber Abdel Sattar will run a week-long workshop on qanoon playing at Bait Al Oud in Abu Dhabi. The classes are targeted at both music teachers and students and divided into three groups according to their skill level.

The exercises and music in the workshop will be selected together with the celebrated oud master Naseer Shamma. Part of the workshop will be devoted to musical science and Saber Abdel Sattar will share knowledge from studies of musical composition. The lessons will include aspects of both Arab and western music.

At the end of the workshop, Saber Abdel Sattar will perform some of his own compositions and a selection of pieces by composer Shamma, as well as works drawn from Arabic musical heritage.
