Using your knowledge of Arabic Calligraphy, write the sentence "ملتزمون يا وطن" in an expressive way that shows your artistic style. Any form of Arabic calligraphy can be used and you are free to explore any medium. Feel free to embellish your works with drawings, colour, collage or paint.

Judging & Notification

All correctly prepared entries will be viewed and judged by a jury panel of experts from the Bait al Khatt team.

Winners will be notified by email.

The winners from each competition will automatically be entered into the final Battle of the Arts organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. The #CulturALL community will then be called on to vote for their favourite artworks and choose the final winners for the inaugural Battle of the Arts competition.

 

Prizes

1st place — one month subscription to one of DCT’s art classes.

2nd place — one on one session with master calligrapher Mohammed Mandi.

3rd place — Full package of calligraphy tools.
