Al Jahili Fort

Al Jahili Fort is one of the largest historical forts in the city of Al Ain and was built during the reign of Sheikh Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, “Zayed the First”, in 1898. The Fort is closely linked to the distinguished Al Nahyan family; it served as the seat of power for Sheikh “Zayed the First”, who ruled the emirate of Abu Dhabi for fifty-four years (1855-1909).
