LISTEN TO THIS PAGE
Celebrate the artisans and craftsmanship behind some of the most cherished Emirati handicrafts at the Traditional Handicrafts Festival
The Traditional Handicrafts Festival is an annual festival held in the Souq Al Qattara in Al Ain. It attracts practitioners and enthusiasts of handicrafts and traditional industries from all over the UAE with the aim of promoting and preserving traditional Emirati handicrafts and developing them as a source of income.

The festival invites visitors to experience the making of traditional crafts by local experts, showcasing their craft and its significance as important expressions of the heritage, customs and traditions of the UAE. The event promotes craftsmen's efforts to preserve these invaluable aspects of our intangible heritage, ensure their continuity and pass skills on to younger generations.

The Traditional Handicrafts Festival will also feature musical performances and an educational cultural programme of workshops and other interactive events.

Alongside the festival, Bait Al Oud will also organise concerts, with Al Qattara Arts Centre organising the Al Suwayea programme for ladies and families.

Date: 29 October – 17 November 2024
Daily: 9am – 1pm and 4pm – 11pm
