AAO– Ramadan’s Harees Program: In the spirit of reviving the tradition of Harees meal preparation during the holy month of Ramadan — which was inscribed in UNESCO’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2023 — AAO will distribute Harees to its community of neighbors, continuing this cultural program that was relocated from Al Ain Palace Museum to Al Ain Oasis since the palace closed for renovation. We are committed to ensuring that this popular program continues uninterrupted.

The program will also feature interactive and cultural components such as the Harees beating challenge, volunteer and public participation in preparing and distributing the Harees plates, an artwork presentation showcasing traditional Harees preparation and cooking techniques, and an artwork display highlighting the materials and tools used in making Harees.
