Overview

“My Heritage is My responsibility” is an initiative by Al Ain Palace which will take place in 2020. The second event theme will be about handicrafts, which will include: pottery, copper, robes, and carpentry. The event will include educational workshops, a traditional souq, traditional Emirati food, in addition to other activities. Its purpose is to spread the cultural knowledge among the variety of visitors, revive the tradition amongst the generation, and build an interactive platform between the cultural sites and society through the daily life.

Al Ain Palace Museum, is one of the best-reinstated forts in the Abu Dhabi Emirate. The museum showcases the everyday life in a ruler's fort when the late Sheikh Zayed and his family resided in the palace prior to 1966. The Bedouin style architecture dates back to 1937 and was converted into a museum in 1998 as a main cultural and tourist attraction.
