Overview

Saudi singer Mohamed Abdo will perform at the Cultural Foundation this December With a prolific career spanning more than four decades, thousands of songs and more than 30 albums, Mohammed Abdo is a master musician beyond compare. Known as the ‘Artist of the Arabs’ – a name given to him by the late Tunisian president Habib Bourguiba, who was one of his admirers, Abdo is Saudi Arabia’s most revered musician and an Arab superstar.

His music career began in the early 1960s, at a young age, and his first hit was produced in 1968, garnering vast acclaim — not just in Saudi Arabia but also in Lebanon and Egypt. Since then, he has played a central role in the introduction of Khaleeji music to Arab audiences, transforming regional tastes and sustaining the music’s relevance into the 21st century. Today, he is celebrated by legions of dedicated fans for his preservation of mawrouth (heritage songs), consistently selling out arena shows and headlining festivals across the Middle East.

Minimum Age to attend: 6 years old
