The Journey of a Piece Programme will showcase loaned antique pendants from the Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre (SZDLC).
The electrum pendant is made of a naturally occurring blend of gold and silver in the shape of two intertwined horned animals. This piece is thought to have been worn around the neck by both males and females. It may have also been used in religious practices or other activities.
Dating back to the Bronze Age, the artefact is among the finds of the excavation in Al Qattara Cemetery.
This event aims to promote the importance of museums as an exhibit for a country’s cultural heritage.
