Chinese New Year on Al Maryah Island welcomes guests with a colorful program of Far Eastern performances and activities. An array of unique activities for visitors such as Ming Vase art design will be on offer, along with a full schedule of exhilarating performances throughout the weekend including ‘Golden Kung Fu’, stunt lion dancing, acrobatic dances, mask changing routines, Chinese drum shows, artistic ink sleeve displays and more.

The Galleria

Visitors will be able to make a Chinese New Year wish at the traditional Tree of Fortune (Ang Pao) located in The Galleria’s ‘Great Room’, along with the chance to receive special offers and promotions from The Galleria’s distinguished luxury brands and exceptional Dining Collection venues. The Galleria will also welcome acclaimed Shanghai-based artist Mrs. Hou Ling Ling, a skilled master in the ancient art of Chinese Bian Embroidery. Her works will be on display in The Galleria throughout the event, showcasing the 800-year-old tradition which is considered to be a national treasure and famed for its precise patterns, elegant styles, and bright colors.
- For the youngest visitors, Chinese New Year on Al Maryah Island will showcase authentic Chinese keepsakes and workshops such as New Year-themed fans, lanterns, pace painting, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese hats, New Year puppets, slime making and so much more.
- A packed schedule of live shows including the highly-popular Height Stunt Lion Dance, Monkey King Martial Arts, Chinese Acrobats, and Chinese Drummers. Moreover, the event will feature Chinese mask changers and traditional Chinese mascots.
