Alongside the Traditional Handicrafts Festival, Al Qattara Arts Centre will be offering the Al Suwayea Programme, a series of heritage workshops aimed at developing craft skills and emphasising the importance of preserving the UAE's heritage and traditions.

The workshops will focus on bringing the community closer to their heritage and offering space for Emirati women to interact and participate within the Traditional Handicrafts Festival as well as facilitate communication between generations through the works of elderly Emirati women.

The Al Suwayea Programma will host nine workshops featuring:

- Al Saffa
- Balaleet
- Al Bathitha
- Traditional Spices
- Jami Cottage Cheese
- Doll-making
- Al Margougha
- Perfumed Oud
- Henna Drawing

The workshops are open to ladies aged 15 years and above.
