Held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Ain Region, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) is organising the 10th edition of Al Ain Book Fair (AABF) at the Al Ain Convention Centre.
The event marks the 10-year anniversary by celebrating Emirati culture and promoting the local publishing industry.
The ten day event will host various local publishing houses and cultural institutions, with the aim to display a selection of Emirati titles and authors, explore their creative experiences, and offer a showcase to their intellect and cultural contribution. Additionally, the Fair will feature daily book signings of publications by UAE-based intellectual and creative figures.
The Cultural Programme accompanying AABF will host a selection of authors and poets to discuss various intellectual topics, featuring poetry evenings, symposiums and musical performances by Emirati performers, alongside a dynamic set of activities for children aged 6-12 in the ‘Creativity Corner’ that include activities and shows by the popular television series ‘Iftah Ya Simsim’.
AABF will provide the public with opportunities to meet and converse with authors, featuring a diverse programme that attracts those interested in cultural and literary matters,
The Fair offering free admission is open to visitors every day from:
9:00am – 1:00pm and 5:00pm – 9:00pm,Friday: 05:00 pm - 10:00 pm
