Celebrate the invaluable contribution of Al Ain’s oasis farmers as they showcase their traditional farming methods!

Known as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Al Ain Oasis houses up to 100 different varieties of vegetation that surround the 3000-acre oasis, with operating farms on widespread plantations. The site is shaped by ‘falaj’, the UAE’s traditional irrigation system.

This programme introduces visitors to the UAE’s home-grown crops and related agricultural professions, as well as a field visit to a farm in the Oasis, where participants get to learn more about local plants, trees, and agricultural practices.
