This game derives its name from dahraj or udahrej (meaning rolling) and is played when the wind blows. Players roll a green palm frond to form a wheel measuring about 30 cm and tie it to a meter length of string or thin rope.
The game is played in public squares, streets, roads and alleys, as well as by children as they run errands for their families in the neighbourhood. This game is basically individual, but it is usually played in pairs or groups in the event of a competition. Each player has their own Dahroui (wheel) which they throw into the wind then run after it and try to catch it. The winner is the one who crosses the finish line first. Playing tools: - Round metal frame. - Metal rod hooked at one end.
