Bait Al Oud Abu Dhabi celebrates the graduation of Nebal Abdo Karam from the Vocal Department. The academy was founded in 2008 to preserve the musical heritage of the region and teaches traditional Arabic singing and musicianship to the highest academic and artistic levels.
Artistic director and oud legend Naseer Shamma said: “We are full of hope that Nebal will do credit to Arabic music and that this concert will be the first successful step in her artistic journey. Our goal is to have music in every home through education for all, for through music we eliminate intolerance, extremism, and violence.”

Biography:
Nebal Abdo Karam
Born in 1993 in –Damascus, Syria, Nebal Abdo Karam graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the Department of Radio and Television at Media College, Damascus University, in July 2016.
Nebal’s passion for music and singing began at the age of nine and she attended conservatories in Syria such as the Dandana Music Centre in Cadmous and the Youth Institute in Damascus to develop her talent. Nebal was a member of the Our Lady of the Valley Choir and took part in performances in Syria and Lebanon.
In 2018, she moved to the United Arab Emirates and founded a children’s choir at St Nicholas Church, Abu Dhabi, in 2019. The same year, she joined the Vocal Department of Bait Al Oud. Nebal has taken part in performances with the school such as the May 2019Ramadan concert at Manarat Al Saadiyat, where she sang Salaw Qalbi;. a concert in Al Ain with Naseer Shamma in November 2019 where she sang Batunis Beek; a concert at the Cultural Foundation in September 2019, with the song Khafif Alruwh; The Bait Al Oud concert for Ramadan Nights with a live broadcast, in April 2020 with the song Emta El-zaman; and participation in the Tolerance Opera for the Year of Tolerance, in October 2019.
