A Traditional Performing Art of the UAE

This activity guide invites people of all ages to learn about Al Razfa, a traditional performance art to all Emiratis. This performance is often featured in national and social events throughout the UAE.

Al Razfa combines physical movement, poetry recitals and chants.  

While watching the Al Razfa, listen to the poet leading the row of performers and join in the rhythms and movements to take apart this traditional cultural practice.
