Arthur de Oliveira
Arthur de Oliveira is a filmmaker, poet, artist and theatre practitioner from Limeira, São Paulo, Brazil. Over the past 18 years, de Oliveira has been travelling between the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he is based, and Brazil. His travel and varied cultural exposure have sparked his interest in multidisciplinary art forms that create hybrid art pieces much like the multicultural environment he was raised in. de Oliveira’s storytelling is focused on contemporary issues that investigate the consequences of globalisation on the individual level. His work has been exhibited in the UAE, Japan, Portugal, and Brazil.
Arthur de Oliveira is a recipient of the Cultural Foundation Art Residency 2021.
