Born in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, Ameena Aljarman earned her double majors bachelor of Fine Arts and International Studies at Zayed University. Her current artistic endeavours include exploring and re- producing conceptual works of visual and social elements of her African roots and heritage. Her main concentrations are the impact of African diaspora in the region on culture, music and surroundings, especially in Ras Al Khaimah. Aljarman mainly focuses on long-term research project series documenting oral and visual history while re-creating a new conceptual approach to introduce the findings.
