Common Ground
This catalogue features the artworks which featured in the 2020 community exhibition, inspired by ‘The Red Palace’ exbibtiion, at the Cultural Foundation, Abu Dhabi The group exhibition reflects on the common ground between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, in a contemporary manner that speaks to the younger generation. The 13 participating artists are: Ahmad Saeed Al Areef Al Dhaheri, Amna Al Memari, Ghanem Younes, Khalid Al Tamimi, Maha Al Hammadi, Maryam Al Suwaidi, Mattia Gambardella, Renad Hussein, Roudha Al Shamsi, Saoud Al Dhaheri, Sarah Aladayleh, Shamsa Al Omaira and Wafa Al Qasaimi. These artists of diverse backgrounds and schools of art and design came together to tell a story about the history of the United Arab Emirates, influenced by the ones narrated through the exhibition and the titles of artworks.
